Really old plane!

While I was in LIH, Chelsie and HBA made it to the Division II State Championship Game. I flew over on confirmed tickets on Aloha. Well, when I got to the gate, this is what I saw...
Who knows how old this plane is, but it's a 737-200!

Here is the tray table. See the hole, it's a drink holder!

The seat pocket in front of me

The lighted signs.

Mystery solved. Aloha is actually leasing this 737-200 from Pace Airlines. Who?

Disneyland Fireworks show

Disneyland for Christmas

Lisa had free Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland, so we decided to go the last day to use them, December 15. Just so happens, Shellani was taking Michael and Chris too. So of course we allowed them to tag along. Here are some of the good times we had.

It's a Small World at night, pretty lights huh?
Lisa and I on California Screamin, and boy was she screamin!

Shellani was soo scared to ride Mulholland ride

Strike a pose!

Lihue Kaua'i

After my two weeks assisting the HNL transition, it was off to Lihue, Kaua'i.
What a difference! HNL was busy and kind of hectic, whereas LIH was laid back and kinda easygoing. I haven't been back to Kaua'i since I was a young kid. I remember it was the first place that I could see my breath. This time I was a tourist. I went to the "mall", Kukui Grove. I drove the winding road up to Waimea Canyon, saw the sunset by the Spouting Horn, along with other touristy sights. Ate local food at Hamura Saimin and Macadamia Nut pancakes with Coconut syrup at Tip Top Cafe. And chickens, chickens, and more chickens everywhere you go.

HNL Station Opening

.
Aloha! I was honored to be part of the Station Support Team for our newest destination, Honolulu. Our team was awesome. Together we helped the Delta employees transition to the "Alaska" way. Not only did we work hard to get the station up and running, we also had fun being "tourists". We did all of Waikiki, Ala Moana, even the Swap meet. Enjoy the pictures!

Ate lunch at Lè Duex Margot, window shopped, and payed respects at Jim Morrisons grave. Darn GSC! Get it. Au Riour

Paris Update

Well, its our last day in the "City of Lights". Yesterday, we visited the Picasso Museum, "Darrens District", Tour Eifel, some other sights I can't remember at the moment. Oh, yes, how can I forget, the 422 steps up to the top of Notre Dame. I guess you can say the theme for yesterday was steps, steps, and more steps. Today, we tackle the Orsay and pay homage to Jim Morrison. AuRevior

Bon Soir from Parie

After 14 hours of flying (9.5 hours just from DFW-CDG) we are in Paris!  Our hotel, Le Hotel Littre is great.  A wonderful little boutique hotel, close to a Metro line.  Exhausted, we went out to Montmartre Walk (as suggested by Rick Steve's).  The weather is just perfect, sunny, but not too hot, I'd say in the high 60's.  Sacre Cour is a beautiful church.  After, we went to the "red light" district.  Lots of sex shops.  It's 1945 and I'm totally beat.  Au revoir!

Root Canal...EEK

I bit the bullet (so to speak) and finally made an appointment to get my root canal procedure done. It had been causing me off and on pain for the past four months. A month ago, the dentist prescribed penicillin to have me body take care of the infection naturally. Well, I guess it worked for a while, but now it was time. Dr. Horton just graduated from UW School of Dentistry. What! A new dentist. Well, he was very good. Gave me anesthesia when ever I could feel the drill going deeper and deeper. ZZZZZZZZZZZ. I survived. Here is the gold cap I had on the tooth.

Harry Potter - finished

Finally finished the last installment of the "Harry Potter" series. Okay, I confess, I actually listened to it on audio CD (in my car). In the beginning, I was kinda bored, especially when H, R and H were "on the move", but boy towards the end, I couldn't get out of my car. I was hooked and glued to my seat. I was almost late for work listening to "he who must not be named" second warning. (I don't want to say his name, don't want Deatheaters knocking at my door!) I really loved the way Ms. Rowlings did the epilogue. Glad to know all is well.

Sounders 1 Railhawks 0

Got the opportunity to see the playoff game between the Seattle Sounders and the Carolina Railhawks. Oh, did I say it was the Alaska Airlines Suite at Qwest Field ? Finally! Who cares if it was soccer. Now I can say I've been to all the "suites" AS owns.

The Sounders won after 90mins of regulation on a penalty kick. Here are some pic (from my cell phone, so quality is not great) Too bad I wasn't watching the Seahawks. : (

EWR Rewind!

It's been a almost a year since I assisted with the AC vendor change in EWR. After an extensive evaluation another vendor was selected and I was asked to join the Support Staff. Yea, for me!, thanks Mary.
The new vendor was DGS. After getting a briefing from Heidi (who taught them) I was a little apprehensive about it. But after meeting them, oh my gawd, they are awesome. They all are very positive and enjoying handling the AS counter. The transition was very smooth and without issue. Okay there were some, but nothing we couldn't solve. Again Maria is the best! Thanks for taking us to those fabulous restaurants. I wish them Good Luck and Great Success!
