Las Vegas Volleyball Classic, Feb 17-19

This was Kimberly's first full tournament after six months off due to her partially torn ACL rehabilitation. And she did very well. She played the utility position; serving, middle and outside hitter. Here are some of her in action.
Her serving was point on. Kim served tough and accurate. She had a tough time with her serve on Day one, but Day two, she had many aces and shanked passes.

I think that this was supposed to be a "wall" of three blockers, but Kim miss queued.

Overall, the Oahu Tommy 18's finished in 11th place of 96 teams. The winner of the tournament, Long Beach 18 had the number one recruit in the nation. She was awesome, Stanford is very lucky to land her. It was a great weekend of nonstop volleyball. Makes me want to get back in the game too.

It's a start!

It's time for planting another garden. I still don't know what I want to do yet, but it's gonna be fabulous. This is a start!

I would like to make the bed higher by using the curved edging to create a wavy border. At this point I don't think the purple delphiniums will come back and it doesn't look like some of the daffodils either. The columbines are doing well and hope the white echinacea and black delphiniums make it too. Damm Mr. Squirrel for eating the tops off my hyacinths. Well off to Home Depot and Fred Meyer.
