I guess it's BLACK
Well, after a months of waiting, they finally bloomed. I ordered "Darkness Visible" delphiniums from Jackson & Perkins last fall. The description was "black to brownish gray". Well, I guess its BLACK. One is black, the other is black/white, and the last one hasn't yet bloomed. All three are planted in my Black and White garden area. I also have a "White Swan" echinacea, "Sweet Cream" marigolds, "Black Barlow" columbines, a "Nigra" hollyhock, "Sooty" sweet william, and a "Chocolate Soldier" columbine. The black and white is accented with red/maroon "Black Prince" snapdragons, and a tall "Black Beauty" oriental lily.
Can't wait till it's all in full bloom. Did I mention all this in a big 2' X 2' plot!
