Wii Party

Went to a Wii party hosted by Don. I never played Wii before and it was awesome. I got to get one! We played team bowling first, Wendy (who thru only strikes) and Rich blew everyone away in the practice round. With the stakes high, shots for all losers, Don, Lisa and I won! Don't remember who won the next 2, all I know is I had to shoot Jaegermeister. Okay, I didn't get any pictures of bowling, but here we are playing doubles tennis, and Guitar master.

Views from the Washington Monument

On this trip to DC, I got myself up early, so I could stand in line to get tickets for the Washington Monument. I got to the station at about 0730. The ticket booth opened at 0830, I thought it was 0800. But better early then late, I guess. Anyway, I was around number 60 in line, and it did build. I'm not sure how many tickets are allotted per hour, but by the time I got to the front, I got the last ticket for the 1000 time. Anyway, it was worth it, the view was awesome. I'm glad I went early too, because it clouded up about 12noon.

National Cherry Blossom Festival DC

This past weekend was the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. This commemorates the gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees from the City of Tokyo. I missed the peak bloom period (when 70% of the blossoms are open), because the forecast came up short. Peak bloom turned out to be April 4. Oh well, we can't predict Mother Nature huh? The highlight of the Festival is the Parade down Constitution Ave, and the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival. Hope they predict right next year!

Another GOLD tooth!

Went to get my temporary tooth removed and new gold tooth put in. Had a root canal procedure done about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I've had 3 of them already. I think I'll need another on the other side soon. EEK! I guess I can consider myself a root canal junkie!

SFO Garden Show, MAR13

We woke up bright and early for our flight to SFO. Luckily no ATC! Made it no problem to the show. Here are some pictures. The way back was another story. We went to the airport, knowing that the flights were full, but didn't realize there were all delayed due to ATC. EEk! Well, we made in on a delayed flight. It left at 1130pm. But that flight was delayed since 335pm. Talk about delayed, no amenities too due to ATC. Poor people, poor us.

All you can eat CRAB!

Creighton and Kimberly are up here to "camp out", and he wanted to go to Anthony's for the Crab feed. I haven't been there for a while, but the price sure has gone up. Anyway, we had to do it.
I think between both (Kim mooched of us), we must have ate at least 10 crabs. Yummo!

NW Flower and Garden Show

The NW Flower and Garden Show was held at the convention center from Feb 20-24. It's the largest show on the West. I'm going to the largest on the East (Philadelphia Flower Show) tonight. Here are some of the pictures.
