Well, as it turned out, I was asked to help out in EWR again. Maria and most staff went to LAX for GSC training. She wanted me to cover GSC while she was gone. Of course, I had to say yes. Who can give up another week of vacation. ha ha.
Anyway, this gave me another opportunity to get back into the city to track down the right Parsons School of Design. I found it, by accident. I knew it was on 7th, but unsure of the cross street. I also knew it was in the "Fashion District" town. So, here it is...
And here is the Project Runway window at Macy's, with the winning dress by Laura. It was a very cool dress. Overlaid with black lace fabric, and sewed with white crystals and black feathers. It was beautiful and sophisticated.
Here are all the winners. Getting to see the designs close up is great. Michaels outfit for the "recycle" challenge had paper holes (the ones from the hole punch) inside the layers of plastic for the "wrap". It added an extra dimension to the dress you couldn't see on the show.
Can't wait for the finale. It's down to the final four. Each of them have a different point of view. It will be hard to determine a winner. I'm rooting for Laura. I like her designs. I believe they are totally marketable. We'll see.
